Dr Kelly is a great doctor who takes time to listen to his patients and he can emphasise with them and will do what is best for them. He is honest and advises when he needs to get a second opinion from his colleagues. I feel that it would be a great loss to Southend Hospital if his clinic was to close.

I have worked with Dr Kelly for nearly 4 years now. I have always found him to be punctual, polite and extremely supportive and helpful towards his patients as well as his colleagues, i have never seen a patient with a bad word to say about him, only positive feedback. Dr Kelly is very kind natured with both patients and colleagues. He has the patient's needs specifically in mind. I think Dr Kelly is certainly an asset to Southend Hospital and hope to have many more years of working in his clinic as I feel the clinics are very beneficial to the patients. Laura

I am being treated by Dr Kelly and find him a very caring and understanding doctor. He has the patients to listen to my concerns. .For the first time in my life I have found a doctor that gives his time to me and not rushing me out the door after 6 minutes. He explains every detail of the complaint and what he is going to do to treat it , he explains the treatment, the drugs, what the drugs will do and what reactions they may cause. He calls me back for regular checks to see how the drugs are reacting. I have a great deal of faith in this doctor and for the first time in years I have someone who cares about ME. For the last 25 years I have had a problem that I was told there was no treatment for but Dr Kelly has resolved the problem and now I have my life back.

Dr Kelly is a wonderful doctor. He always listens to what I have to say and gives extremely good advice. He is polite and knowledgeable with a good understanding of diabetes. I see him on a regular basis and have never left an appointment without knowing exactly what I need to be doing. He never rushes through an appointment, unlike other doctors, and I feel that he is genuinely interested in my well being. I have seen other doctors for my condition in the past and came away feeling frustrated because I felt that he just wanted to get rid of me and on to his next patient. I never have that feeling with Dr Kelly. He is an absolute asset to Southend Hospital. Without him I don't think I would be making the progress that I am.
